Loan Application & Closing Process

Making your loan request is easy at First Metropolitan. There are several options. You can contact 1 of our 19 locations by phone, apply in person, or apply online at a time that is convenient for you. In less than 10 minutes, we will have all the information we need to process your application and get you an answer in about 1 hour. If you apply after hours or on the weekend, your application will be processed immediately the next business day.

We can complete your application in less than 10 minutes and get you an answer within the hour in most circumstances.

In most cases, you will sign your loan documents and receive your money the same day. Otherwise, you can sign your loan documents and receive your money the next business day.

No. All our loan closings are done at your servicing branch location.

You will need to bring your most-recent pay stub, identification, and social security card. We recommend that you ask one of our loan professionals if they will need any additional information before heading to the office to close your loan.

We understand that your time is valuable. Therefore, we try to get the paperwork completed and hand you a check in 15 minutes or less. However we will give you as much time as needed, because we want to make sure all your questions are answered and you fully understand the terms of your new loan.

Online applications are processed just as quickly as applications submitted in person or by phone – in one hour or less. Please keep in mind that your loan request will only be processed during normal business hours. If you apply after hours or on the weekend, your application will be processed immediately the next business day.

Loan Qualifications

We help people without credit every day. Just give your information to one of our team members and they will do everything they can to get your loan approved.

No, we do not require a bank account. We are not a payday lender and our loans are less costly.

Yes, we run every applicants credit. An applicant’s credit is only one of the many factors we take into effect when approving loans.

We look at every application individually. Our team members will take your application, look at your credit report, and do everything they can to help you re-establish your credit. We pride ourselves on treating each customer as an individual and not as a number.

If your application was turned down, you will receive a letter by mail explaining the reasons behind the decision.

Most of First Metropolitan direct loans are secured by household goods or an auto. If you are unsure if your collateral is sufficient, just give our local branch a call.

Our Loan Services

First Metropolitan makes traditional installment loans. Traditional installment loans are a type of credit that has been around for over a hundred years. Our loans are not payday loans, but loans with monthly installment payments.

Loan appointment times are typically between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Our typical loan is between $500 and $15,000, although we will go more depending upon your unique situation. We are a traditional installment lender offering affordable monthly payments.
